Date Me is a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Core obligations are phasing in; full enforcement timeline to be verified with counsel.
Name, phone, email, date of birth, photos, approximate location, device info, chat logs, preferences, and KYC/verification data.
Identity & matching (name, photos, interests, location); safety (phone, location, check-in); payments (transaction data); analytics (device/usage); marketing (only with your consent).
Separate, unticked, withdrawable consent for location, photos, and marketing. You can withdraw any consent at any time in Settings → Privacy & Consent.
Payment gateway, verification vendor, cloud hosting (India region), and analytics — strictly for stated purposes. We do not sell your personal data.
Access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent, and grievance redressal. Request data export or deletion in Settings.
We retain data only as long as needed for the stated purpose or as required by law (e.g., financial records). Certain complaint/moderation records may be retained for statutory periods (the rules reference at least 180 days after deregistration for certain records — verify with counsel).
